okay getting that out of the way, I've actually learned how to 3D model since that post I made quite a while ago. I'm not the greatest at it, and it'll most likely take a while before I gain the animating and modelling knowledge to at the very least recreate sonic and/or knuckles' spritesheet, but I'm making progress. I'm also learning how to code a platformer, albeit in TIC-80. Hopefully, knowledge in coding from TIC-80 will carry over to gamemaker studio 2 or whatever I'll use to make Sonic 2d Blast reimagined.
I also tried to make an edited map of Green Hill Zone on paper, but looking back to it it's still full of the flaws that the original GHZ had, so in all honesty I'll probably make new zones that are based off of Sonic Blast's original zone set. I already have a few concepts, although they don't have the cute <color> <place landmark> naming scheme that the original zone set had, so they'll probably need a bit more refining.
Past that, I'll probably be uploading here much more often! My art has gotten to a point where I'm overall happy with it enough to share it here - there'll probably still be large gaps between uploads as I'll most likely compile my doodles (most of what I draw) into bimonthly (i wish) compilation posts, and drawings I make for friends may or may not even show up here unless I ask them, but I'll most likely have more of an output here this year compared to last year. ( take all this with a grain of salt i am absolutely horrible at keeping a promise )
